Hollywood Celebrities Exit Social Media Networking for a Cause
Who would have thought that Social Media Networking such as Twitter and Facebook can be used to generate money for a cause? With the advent of Social Media Networking, people all over the world are being connected, and this has made the fans of Hollywood celebrities happy because they can instantly connect to their idol celebrities by following them on Twitter or by adding them as friend in Facebook.
But, this is not the case anymore. Hollywood celebrities agree to exit Social Media Networking. The following celebrities have just turned their back from their Social Media accounts:
- Lady Gaga
-Justin Timberlake
-Usher
-Jennifer Hudson
-Ryan Seacrest
-Elijah Wood
- Serena Williams
-Swizz Beatz
The reason why these celebrities decided to temporarily close their account is because of Alicia Key’s charity called "Keep A Child Alive".
In order to keep a child alive, celebrities will die first on the digital world. But, fans can revive the lives of the Hollywood Celebrities by buying back. Fans must buy their lives back. The mechanics is that, fans can make $10 text-message donations to “Keep a Child Alive.” The rules are once a celebrity raises one million dollars, they can now reactivate their Social Media Networking account.
The R&B singer Alicia Keys is the brain behind this. She convinced all her famous celebrity friends to quit Social Media Networking until they raised a million dollars to save a child. Alicia Keys is the global ambassador for the organization.
The “Keep a Child Alive” is an organization that provides medication to children who are in need and with AIDS that live in Africa and India.
What a clever move!
