CPA Board Exam Results October 2008
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 2,442 out of 6,663 passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination given by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi this October 2008.
The results were released in one (1) day after the last day of examination.
The members of the Board of Accountancy are Atty. Eugene T. Mateo, Chairman; Froilan G. Ampil, Ma. Elenita B. Cabrera (inhibited), Rufo R. Mendoza and Lucila C. Tarriela, Members.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Monday, October 27, 2008 but not later than November 19, 2008. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 pieces 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps, and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2008-2011. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The oath taking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Roxas Boulevard, Manila.
Registration for Membership with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Inc. will start on Monday, October 27, 2008.

The Sawa is my second pair of MBTs. I wanted a shoe where the foot was enclosed, but the heel could be adjusted, since my heels are narrow. I had only worn sandals (Kisumu) before. I think the new MBT sizing makes it a challenge to figure out what one wears in the new models. My advice on Sawa would be to go to a higher size number if in doubt.

This is my third pair of MBTs. It takes me forever to save up for a pair, but my feet have a lot of problems and MBT shoes give relief in a way that is different from my other comfort shoes. These are quite snazzy and more dressy than the typical sneaker-type or comfort shoe. I suspect the patent/shine portions will crack over time since they are showing creases already, but that is the nature of patent. I have had to switch sizes up. The fit would be better if the shoe was wider in the toe box and much narrower in the heel. Nonetheless, these shoes are currently the most comfortable ones I have and the most flashy of my comfort shoes by far.
