Games UpLate Live is deceptive
Games UpLate Live is a late night game show of ABS-CBN co-produced with Endemol which airs after ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs. The show is hosted by Jaymee Joaquin, it showcases various interactive games such as word games, anagrams, puzzles as well as math problem in order to win. It also features live chat services.Contestants are picked from the audience who downloaded products from ABS-CBN Interactive.
No offense to this giant network who produced this game show but for me it is deceptive. I stay awake very late until dawn while doing my projects and having my television on. For the past few months, I enjoyed watching this show but then for so long I came up with a reaction according to my firsthand observations. I consider Games UpLate Live deceptive to its viewers. We’ll get them deceived by easy games with prizes ranging from 1,000 to 30,000 or even more at times. But consider the process: Per download will cost you 10 pesos and I’m pretty sure there are a lot of downloaders out there staying uplate to push their luck on this game. With all the tempting prizes, it requires nothing less but your day to day encounters on something or any vocabulary for example. With 10 chances to win and guess the word in the game, only a few (2 or 3 ) will make it. There are so many ways for them to change the word behind the board so the contestant being called up won’t make it. And one more thing, for an hour and a half, why only 2 to 5 people are being called? I guess Pinoys should take a little more caution to this deceptive people doing their best just to push through on their own selfish agenda. I don’t intend to convince any of my readers but I really feel good sharing my sentiments, my reactions, my opinions toward something especially if it is really something ought to be said and shared. For Games UpLate Live, if you really are not deceiving your viewers try to be more transparent. I’m part of this society and social awareness is much needed.

hi gud pm.my name is ma gina p delos reyes from la union nanalo ako sa game uplate live ng jockpot prize.nung october 16 2007.ask ko lang sana kung kelan ko makukuha ung prize ko ang sabi nyo 45 days bago ko makuha ung prize?almost two months na wala pa kayong letter n ipinapadala sakin.pwede ko bang kunin dito sa abs cbn office ng san fernando la union.kasi mayroon naman dito e.sabi nyo sila ang magpapadala ng letter bakit po ang tagal?sana po pakisagot naman ng email ko na to?kung kelan ko makukuha ung napanalunan ko na prize sa palaro nyo.merry christmas sa inyo na sa game uplate live.

That’s why i hate the show business. it’s a big crap where people are so pretentious. making a drama out of anything under the sun. Doing their own business.

Kung hindi hoax ang games uplate, let’s create a group, contact me, lets play together everynight you download the required tones, picture messages or whatever during the game, we’ll be in touch and I will use all my programs to derive the words. I use softwares that can answer 100% of their dumbass questions even the hardest ones.

I also one of the (let’s say) hundred of thousands of viewers every night… that makes 100000x10pesos minimum entry= 1million pesos!!!! and the program will just give a prize for a night of only a couple of thousand pesos!!
I watched eagerly last night March 12, 2008… the guessing game is you’ll be asked to add a suffix after the word FOOT. Two of the lucky downloaders came up with the word FOOTNOTE and the other is FOOTNOTE… I was damn angry because no one got the right answer as to the clue which they gave FOOTNO– (and i cant think of any word starts with FOOTNO– but footnote) A minute or so before the show ends, they revealed the answer— FOOTNOTING!!!!! @%&@!!! I thought that the show is too greedy for money considering they didnt consider the answers of the poor downloaders leaving them both unhopefull! They really are changing the answers (easily) as to their wish and avoiding it to the answers of the downloaders.
2nd observation,,,, I also watched that the host (of course with the advise of the staff) always makes excuses such as they doin a hard time for calling the downloaders because they were out of reached, no signal, they maybe fell asleep…etc!!!! As logic, why do downloaders got fall asleep if they just texted a few minutes ago????? And at the end of the show, you’ll see that they will end up of just making a call of less than 5!!!! Damn they! Die you all!!!!

That is fucking true, abs freaking greedy… FIRST they should have a DTI representative that is available on this game show and able to monitor what is the real answer for those words or puzzle… and if you notice they only call the people who are having a hard time to answer those freeking words… its better that the audience will be the one to call like a special number like a 1234 or something alike and will cost us P20 per call and we need to download certain tones, logos or picture message before the system get into the line, right guys???

FYI, they have a DTI representative on stand by every night (or morning). DTI will not let them continue the show if your very hasty accusations were true.
