A Dream To Paris

Came to my surprise when I dreamt of having a tour in one of the most famoust capitals in the world: Paris. I just so happened to watch KC Concepcion video about her show: KC from Paris to Pinas. After a very long day of so much tasks to do I fell asleep. That its obviously the reason why I had a dream to Paris.

Paris is the capital city of France. I think it is one of the most popular tourist destination in the whole world. I heard it so often even when I’m still on my toddler years. Sounds extremely funny but its true. I’ve heard a lot of Paris but haven’t gone there for once. I hope someday when I got enough bucks I’ll tour around the world and enjoy these sites while I can.

Below are some of the promising landmarks in Paris.

The Eiffel Tower

Below are some of the photos of my 2008 movie-to-watch list. I hope I won’t be able to miss it.

The Incredible Hulk

Hellboy 2: The Golden Army

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

Death Race

My Yahoo Voice Experience…

I had a fresh experience of yahoo voice. A phone out feature available on yahoo messenger version 9. A good and kind boss of mine gave me credits so I can try this one of the most meaningful among all yahoo services. I called my auntie abroad and my friends and the line is great, very sound and clear. They relatively charge low costs to phone calls. Guys, this is one of the most useful invention humans have ever made. The birth of VOIP(Voice Over Internet Protocol) is really great. On the past, we enjoy VOIP on PC-to-PC calls and now we can enjoy PC-landline or PC-mobile calls. Isn’t it great? All you just have to do is purchase prepaid credits using your: credit card accounts affiliated with VISA, MasterCard, Amex and Discover.

Vantage Point on the HEAT…

In Columbia Pictures’ "Vantage Point," Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) and Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox), are two Secret Service agents assigned to protect President Ashton (William Hurt) at a landmark summit on the global war on terror. When President Ashton is shot moments after his arrival in Spain, chaos ensues and disparate lives collide. In the crowd is Howard Lewis (Forest Whitaker) an American tourist video taping the historic event to show his kids when he returns home. Also there is Rex (Sigourney Weaver) an American TV news producer who is reporting on the conference. It’s only as we follow each person’s perspective of the same 15 minutes prior to and immediately after the shooting that the terrifying truth behind the assassination attempt is revealed.

This is the synopsis of the movie. Quiet interesting huh?!? This is again a one sure hit on action/thriller genre. This is also coming soon in theatres on February 2008. Hhhmmm….Can’t wait for February to come. One great movie again to anticipate. ;)

2008, The Year of the Rat: The Attributes Within

This goes for people born in:2008, 1996, 1984, 1972, 1960, 1948, 1936, 1924, 1912 and 1900. You are compatible with people born in the year of the Dragon and year of the Monkey. Have caution with partners born in year of the Horse.

Being the first sign of the Chinese zodiac, rats are leaders, pioneers and conquerors. They are charming, passionate, charismatic, practical and hardworking. Rat people are endowed with great leadership skills and are perhaps the most organized and systematic of the twelve signs. Intelligent and cunning at the same time, rats are highly ambitious and strong-willed people who are keen and unapologetic promoters of their own agendas, which often include money and power. They are energetic and versatile and can usually find their way around obstacles, and adapt to various environments easily. A rat’s natural charm and sharp demeanor make it an appealing friend for almost anyone, but rats are usually highly exclusive and selective when choosing friends and so often have only a few very close friends whom they trust.

Behind the smiles and charm, rats can be terribly obstinate and controlling, insisting on having things their way no matter what the cost. These people tend to have an immense control of their emotions, which they may use as a tool to manipulate and exploit another person, both emotionally and mentally. Rats are masters of mind games and can be very dangerous, calculative and downright cruel if the need arises. Quick-tempered and aggressive, they will not think twice about exacting revenge on those that hurt them in any way. Rats need to learn to relax sometimes, as they can be quite obsessed with detail, intolerant and strict, demanding order, obedience, and perfection.

A valuable lesson for Rats is to learn to consider others before themselves, at least sometimes, and to avoid forcing their ideas onto others. Rats are fair in their dealings and expect the same from others in return, and can be deeply affronted if they feel they have been deceived or that their trust has been abused. Sometimes they set their targets too high, whether in relation to their friends or in their career. But as the years pass, they will become more idealistic and tolerant. If they can develop their sense of self and realize it leaves room for others in their life as well, Rats can find true happiness.

According to tradition, Rats often carry heavy karma and at some point in life may face an identity crisis or some kind of feeling of guilt. Rats are said to often have to work very long and hard for everything they may earn or have in life. However, a Rat born during the day is said to have things a bit easier than those who are born at night. Traditionally, Rats born during the night may face extreme hardships and suffering throughout life. Rat in general should guard themselves against hedonism, as it may lead to self-destruction. Gambling, alcohol and drugs tend to be great temptations to Rat natives.

Tsk..tsk..tsk…We have to be cautious though. Happy Journey in the Year of the Rat, guys!

Shake Rattle and Roll 9 Isn’t a Horror at all…

Shake Rattle and Roll 9 Isn’t a Horror at all…On Christmas Day, we went mall strolling and got tired so we decided to watch "sine" our dialect for theatre movies. We were at NCCC Mall of Davao that day and only four MMFF entries were there: Bahay Kubo, Enteng Kabisote, Resiklo and Shake Rattle and Roll 9. None of the four actually that I wanted to watch but since were there we have to make a choice. I personally choose shake rattle and roll 9 based on how great the poster outside the cinema looks like…lolz….Well, so we get in to Cinema 4 where Shake Rattle and Roll 9 is showing.

Shake Rattle and Roll 9 Isn’t a Horror at all. It doesn’t even meet 50% of how Sukob or Feng Shui terrified me. There were just scenes in the movie that would somehow shake and rattle you for a 5 minutes or so. lolz. Yeah, there are scenes that really surprised its viewers causing them to scream once in a while. To give justice to the third word of the movie title which is "ROLL", exactly, you can actually roll beause of laughing hardly. You can’t help but just laugh. Atleast, the producers of the movie gave justice to its title. (consuelo de bobo)… but honestly, it did. My favorite part in their is Bangungot starring Roxanne Guinoo (an obsessed dreamer), Dennis Trillo and Pauleen Luna. That part on their was quite terrifying. Just imagine someone so obssessed at you might kill you by having the two of you left in the dream. Eeeehhhh…terrifying huh?!? And also, I would like to commend on katrina Halili, the most beautiful horror icon I’ve seen. She’s the enkanto of the third part of the movie entitled Engkanto. She’s really beautiful and I like watching her in that white robe. lolz! Well, If I’m gonna rate that movie from 1-10, my rate is 6.5. Fair enough.

One thing for sure though, Shake Rattle and Roll 9 will be a top grosser movie as well considering it is the only horror movie for this MMFF year. Mother Lily and Regal should be thankful for that.
