Gladys Guevarra on Ethel Booba’s Place

Just this afternoon in Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity 2nd Edition "UBER", Philippines witnessed the entrance of another singer-comedian Gladys Guevarra. The management must have really observed that ratings for PBB were really high during the existence of the "Ultimate Pasaway", Ethel Booba. Ethel impressed a lot of viewers of her genuinity of her being pasaway and the natural way of making others laugh. She’s hot and sexy but you can’t help but laugh everytime she talks. PBB house was filled with Ethel’s laughters and also tears for longing to get out of the house.  Now, that Ethel is out after her voluntary exit with McCoy, the management must have strived hard to think of her replacement. So now comes, Gladys Guevarra that we all witnessed as a very good comedian. But oh, she’s from GMA right? I often see her in Eat Bulaga. What is she doing in Big Bro’s house? lolz. Are all talents of GMA getting out of their network? tsk…tsk…tsk… GMA must do something with this. It seems there are an unstoppable instances of talents transfer from GMA to ABS-CBN….mmmm….Alarming for them, for sure…

Summer Palace Again on January 2008

After a ground breaking release in China and France because  certainly it is the most erotic and sexually explicit film to come from mainland China, SUMMER PALACE. Now it will be aired again around the globe in theatres this coming January 2008. Some reviews before presented the shots as unprofessional and are really bummer. Just wondring why air it again. What might be the sexual or political idealism that lies behind this movie which made it really controversial before in China. Anyway, below is the plot summary of the film.

The Plot:

Country girl Yu Hong leaves her village, her family and her lover to study in Beijing. At university, she discovers an intense world of sexual freedom and forbidden pleasure. Enraptured, compulsive, she falls madly in love with fellow student Zhou Wei. Driven by obsessive passions they can neither understand nor control, their relationship becomes one of dangerous games - betrayals, recriminations, provocations - as all around them, their fellow students begin to demonstrate, demanding democracy and freedom. Protests collapse, and Yu and Zhou lose each other amidst the social chaos and panicked crowds. Zhou Wei is sent to a summer military camp, and on his release moves to Berlin, fleeing both his country and memories of Yu. She finds a job, a lover, but can not forget Zhou. In Germany, social unrest is mounting: calls for freedom, demonstrations for democracy. A familiar story for Zhou. Weary, still haunted by Yu, he returns to China as the Berlin Wall crashes down. He finds her at last, in a small town. From evening to dawn, their future stretches before them, two changed souls in a changed world.

The Walker: Everyone loves a good scandal

The Walker

Directed by Paul Schrader, The Walker will be out in theatres this coming December 7, 2007. With cast: Woody Harrelson, Kristin Scott Thomas, Lily Tomlin, Lauren Bacall, Willem Dafoe, Ned Beatty, Moritz Bleibtreu, Mary Beth Hurt, you would really  can’t afford this  dramatic, mysterious and thriller movie.

The Plot:

A contemporary drama set in Washington, D.C., "The Walker" centers around Carter Page (Harrelson), a well-heeled and popular socialite who serves as confidant, companion, and card partner to some of the capitol’s leading ladies. These pampered women are married to the most powerful men in America, and when their husbands are too busy running the country to attend to their wives, they turn to their "gay best friend," Carter, for warmth, wit, and wisdom. Carter’s loyalty is tested when his dearest friend (Scott Thomas) finds herself on the brink of a scandal that could destroy her reputation and her husband’s career. Offering to cover for her, Carter suppresses incriminating evidence, only to find himself the chief suspect in a criminal investigation. Suddenly, this well-connected man-about-town is a pariah, hounded by the police and forced to find the true culprit and clear his name. More importantly, he must re-examine whether it is important to be accepted by a society based on betrayal, hypocrisy, and corruption.

A tale of moral redemption that takes the form of a mystery-thriller, "The Walker" is the third part of Schrader’s "lonely man" trilogy that began with "American Gigolo" (1980) and also includes "Light Sleeper" (1992).

Sudden drop of PageRank?

I really didn’t know that much in search engine optimizing but then as a blogger I’ve seen the importance of page rankings to generate more traffic on your site. Google is the most prevalent search engine nowadays and they rank web pages which indicate how important the page is. The higher the rank, the more is its importance. The more the importance (as Google treat them), the more chances to be indexed on the first page everytime a user queries for a subject matter relevant to your post.

Now  here comes RealRank of IZEA which is a parent site of PayPerPost. This new thing confused me of how this ranking of IZEA would help the bloggers like me when we all knew that Google is trying really hard to ban those sites that are prevalently selling links along with their PR. And honestly, I’m one of this. I observed weeks ago when I started posting a lot on this certain mediator from an advertiser to bloggers, I think I’ve posted about 9 topics in a row for that. The offers were really good but then a week after that I noticed the sudden drop of my page ranking in google. Which will mean that I’m of least importance so less probability to be indexed by them every user queries. Well, as a newbie I’ve learned a lot from reading other blog posts related to my problem. I got a lot of inputs from other professional bloggers and now is the time to weigh things. It’s like torn between two lovers. If you sell links, you’ll definitely earn a lot as I did for the past weeks but page ranking in google decreases and will never cease until we do so. Could any blogger take that risk and conquer their limitations that we really depended much of our traffic from the most effective search engine nowadays, Google. Meaning, can you live without Google rankings? Will RealRank of IZEA really helps?

Happy Birthday Papa!!!

Happy Birthday to my most beloved Papa. I came home late and so I may have not shared that special dinner for him because my class ends late at 9pm but I’m pretty sure I was able to show my heartfelt gratitude to him as my father. We just had a simple dinner with my family and relatives. I can’t afford this time a glamorous party for my papa and so heartily I just bought him his favorite chocolate flavored cake and a polo shirt as a birthday gift. All my life, I’m always been grateful that he is my father. He never ceased supporting me and showing his unconditional love for me. I am certain that doing good of my studies and making the best of my life would really make him happy and so I’m striving hard to live a life worth living, not for myself, but of course for my parents. I owe them everything I have and to what I am right now. They are the best gifts God gave me as an instrument of God’s love for me. They are the best for me not just because they are my parents, but because they have done exemplarily as parents and they deserve the praise and gratefulness from me.

To my papa, I love you both with mama. Thank you so much and once again, Happy Birthday!

Update of my student life

We are currently learning Java Enterprise Application in our Free Elective Subject of my last semester in College. I am just so grateful I got a proven effective and very kind teacher to guide me along the way.  Of course, though we have a little background in Object Oriented Programming, we started from the very basics. It might be funny but this is the time when I fully understand and experienced simple polymorphism, one of the most important concept in Object Oriented Programming.

Be right back. We’re actually having a laboratory right now. Just dropped by to share a wonderful experience in the class.

I am really disappointed…

Here I am again with my mushy moments. I am really disappointed to someone because I don’t have clues why acting so cruel to me. I don’t know what you’re up to. I don’t know what pissed you off and why treated me like this. I damn hate this type of emotions because I can’t help it but my mind always cling to this painful feelings. I am not an expert in forgetting nor an expert in pretending you’ve been hurting me so much. OMG! I really don’t know what happened, the last few hours I still recall we’ve been discussing things smoothly and in a snap of a finger, even a single word you didn’t even bothered to utter. You know what I hate you so much of hurting me this way when all I did, as far as I could recall was I am damn so busy with editting my rejected posts, chatting my boss in YM and later doing my assignment in Rizal. And then suddenly you’ll be acting that way?!? You know what’s worse than ever? I supposed we’ll be okay then today especially that time you asked me to go home after class but oh, you left me alone in the hot busy streets of bankerohan, pretending as if I weren’t there…when you all know that I was just right behind you. Damn it. I really don’t understand why you’re treating me this way. You really are expert in hurting me. I suggest you include that in your resume because you really are amazingly expert in hurting me this way. Damn all these feelings. Damn all my thoughts. Damn all these tears! How I wish I could pretend as if I don’t know, as if we’re okay. But I can’t. I can’t. Damn it!!!

Yet no time for escape
